Heroes

Been quite hooked with NBC's "Heroes" mini-series lately, just finished 14 episodes with about six bladder breaks in between and two sunsets--the best excuse to explain the state of disarray in our house if you ask me. Plus travelling can sometimes be a real pain. Things and mostly thoughts tend to get disorganized or worst, lost, after an out of town sojourn. Maybe this is how it feels to be back from a coma and to be jolted violently back into the 8-5 daily grind. Not complaining though, no room for that, just recovering from beachcombing in slow-mo pace and Heroes proves to be the perfect companion on the road to normalcy.

After watching just the 1st episode, Anthony & myself are unofficially fans, we haven't join any online communities devoted to the show, but knowing me, soon I will. The show's void of logic, far from being gritty, just pure unadulterated camp and it works just perfect for us. Makes me want to think, why can't Pinoy TV producers make something like Heroes? Is it really that difficult? And why do they keep on rehashing old, bummed-out ideas? Just because Flor de Luna was shown in the 80's, it doesn't mean people need to be reminded of the tragic lives of Flor & Eddie Boy yet again. Thank God, the Flor de Luna saga will end this week, finally some vindication for the Pinoy audience.
